unshakeable conviction

“People who really want to make a difference in the world usually do it, in one way or another. And I’ve noticed something about people who make a difference in the world: They hold the unshakeable conviction that individuals are extremely important, that every life matters. They get excited over one smile. They are willing to feed one stomach, educate one mind, and treat one wound. They aren’t determined to revolutionize the world all at once; they’re satisfied with small changes. Over time, though, the small changes add up. Sometimes they even transform cities and nations, and yes, the world.”

  1. Hi nicole! I am enjoying your blog. You are such a good writer! You are missed at the office. We were talking about you the other day. Isabella just left this morning for a 3 week trip in Africa – Namibia. Sounds like you are doing quite well there. I knew you would. I hope your project is going well and that you have made some new acquaintances other than your backyard animal friends. :-). It looks lovely there. I like the colors of the soil and landscape. So rich.

Just wanted to drop you a line to say hello. Take care.

    • Hi Dianne,

Thank you so much! I’m so glad to know you’ve been reading it. I miss everyone over there, please tell everyone I say hello and send my best! I thought she would be leaving soon… too bad she won’t be anywhere near me! It’s great – I love the work I’m doing and it’s really hands on and I’m finally getting the hang of things. Haha… I promise I have made a few human friends as well! It is beautiful – I can’t deny that!

Thanks again for commenting, it means a lot! Hope your family is well!
